I have 41000 air miles plus a free amex premium upgrade,my wife has 31000 air miles. What is the cheapest way for us to fly sometime in the last two weeks of February to new York for a week in premium economy, based on either miles + money , miles or just money. I've checked the VS website but its frustrating. Any help please.

If you can't find what you by searching the website then give VS a call

You'll need 67k miles to get a reward PE return to NYC + fuel surcharge etc

But buy the right economy bucket (?Y,B,L) then you only need 20k miles to upgrade + some extra fees/taxes

Definitely give them a call. It's the quickest way to the information.

But beware..the "right" economy bucket can be very pricey. I spoke to VS today about a UC flight in December and was quoted an economy fare of £1400 each as the best price if I wanted to take the upgrade, rather than miles only, route. That said, the agent explained that it was influenced by the fact that it didn't involve a Saturday nighy stay.
