Hi all

It is a small thing in the global scale of things but we are about to launch a simple flight status lookup via Twitter. See below for the details and feel free to have a play and send me your feedback here.

The Twitter service is published here:
http://www.twitter.com/vaainfo

and the accompanying web page with use cases and terms & conditions is here:

http://www.virgin-atlantic.com/en/gb/bo ... status.jsp

and support is offered here (please don't call our Contact Centre!):

Hi

Best to just send messages to @vaainfo when you are interested in a flight as it won't broadcast posts of its own, it will just respond to requests eg

@vaainfo vs19

and the reply will just go back to you

y) got it. Thought you might have been using that specific address to tweet general status updates i.e. Weather related delays, checkin delays, timing changes etc as well as specific requested updates

David

There is another Twitter feed that is a bit more generic @VirginAtlantic says "Hello Gorgeous! Follow us for news, banter & assistance 9am–5pm GMT Mon–Fri. For official concerns visit us here http://virg.co/crel ^Howard, ^Greg & ^Kyle

Hi Martin

Thanks for that, I do follow that address as well but have had a quick check back the last 14 days and it's mostly "glad you had a good flight" or "the films on this month are" etc

Just thought it might make it more manageable if info regarding flight status was all grouped together and didn't get lost in the "hope you enjoy Vegas" tweets ;)
