Hi folks, just me being nosy again and wondering if anyone can clear some things up for me?

I have noticed some odd workings in late August, seeing G-VELD operating flights to MCO, and to NRT and CPT in late September. Is there a lack of 346's at the moment, or are there other reasons for these workings?

Another thing. Is anyone aware of the reasons for the operation of flights VS25/26 between LHR and JFK which i've not seen before by VAIR.

As I say, just some chronic nosyness of my part, but would really appreciate it if anyonce could clue me in. Cheers in advance :) :)

VS ferried the NFL around for its world series recently I think, perhaps that's why.

But I do know that the 25/26 was a special flight post hurricane to NY to help bring people home - the 25/26 used to be a daily scheduled service before the GFC.

Oh cool, thanks for the insight. Was 25/26 replaced by other flights or was it just discontinued like 238/239 to Hong Kong? What ever did hapen to those rotations??

And when you speak of GFC, what exactly are you referring to??

Discontinued - there used to be four daily flights to JFK, the 3/4, 9/10, 25/26, and 45/46.

GFC = global financial crisis!

SEQ is simply a conjunction of 'sequence' for boarding. It should really have a full point, unlike GFC which is an acronym.

Isn't GFC an initialism, rather than an acronym, as it doesn't make a word?

Acronyms are initialisms I think, so both, although I suppose in the sense of creating an 'actual' word, more of an initialism (just pulling my Oxford Dictionary for Writers and Editors off the shelf, and it lets me use both ;) ).
