Hi all,

Have just been speaking to a very nice member of the VS gold team (always a pleasure when that happens...) as I'm trying to sort out seat requests for an upcoming BGI flight. Working blind at the moment because the tickets are not issued so I can't see the flights on the VS website. So 2 questions:

1) The 'mini economy cabin' that makes up rows 21-23/24 on the LGW fleet - she could not see them on her seat map - I guess that 21 will be held back as a bulkhead, but what about the rest - are they reserved in some way? It's always looked to me as a good place to be sat...

2) Something new to me - I'm told that there are a few rows that have about 3 inches of extra legroom (think it was 50/51 and the middle of 54) - can anyone confirm this as it sounds like it would be worth the extra £20 being quoted to get halfway towards PE legroom!

At least I know there's no PE availability, so I won't wind myself up trying to score a miles upgrade again :(

thanks
RC

Extra leg room seats have been available for some time now.

Ok, so in the end I decided to spend the princely sum of £80 for the extra legroom seats on the return - as a 6 footer, I'm guessing I will notice some benefit. Seems like a pretty cheap deal for 3 more inches.

As for the outbound... Apparently that little mini Y cabin at the front is only released around OLCI so will keep an eye out for that nearer the time.
