I just managed to book two Economy returns to JFK in May and upgrade outward sector to PE and return to UC using miles.

Two passengers on same booking ref. However the section that should show the FC number is blank for both entries and I dont' see a way to add that via the website. I am keen to esnure the (albeit small) tier points are allocated correctly. Any ideas how to link for both passengers?

You cannot add your FC number to a reward booking (or bookings with reward upgrades in them) via the website or call centre.

Sometimes check-in staff will add it for you at the airport, but don't bank on this either.

The system was changed several years ago to stop pax claiming miles for reward flights/upgrades.

The only way you will be able to claim miles/TP's for the original revenue part of your booking is to call VS once you complete your journey.

Best keep the BPs. The VS system can't handle allocating the right number of miles and TPs to a cash booking that is then upgraded using miles to another cabin.

ah ok thanks for that. The weird thing is since I made the booking via the Au helpline it does appear against my list of future flights on the website, just doesn't show the number. Also keen to get the number added for the person I am travelling with since I did a recommend a friend for FC too.

Pleased to get PE & UC availability as upgrades and use some of the miles I'd been accumulating. £800 in taxes though each - OUCH
