Variable PE pitch?

Noticed that on this page that PE pitch varies between 37 and 38 inches. I always thought it was a standard 38 inches. Does anyone know where it drops below 38 inches?

Ah that makes sense then since its new. Prior to that I guess everything in purple was 38 inch.
