VS075 man-mco seat reservations (economy)

Hi, with less than 2 weeks to fly (27th march) I am still unable to choose my seat?! Anyone else having this problem it has got me slightly worried

Hi - with your flight being so close, it is almost certain that the reason you can't select your seat is because the 60% of seats that are made available for pre-selection will have already been taken. Your flight is very close to the Easter period so it will be busy and popular and people will have been booking seats a long time ago.

The remaining 40% of seats usually become available at OLCI, but as your flight is buys, the system will just probably allocate you some seats to ensure that as many families/groups as sat together as possible.

The seat map only came available for my upcoming flight very recently, and I was checking almost every day. When it did come online, there were no seats left requestable in the bubble.

So, either nearly every other PE passenger was checking more often than me, on the 40% of seats were never selectable...

I am flying PE, out 23rd, back 3rd April. Have chose mine for the outward leg, but still can't for the return, but its after the 1st April, so will only become available 24 (or 26-27) hours before take off as the re-configs of the LGW/MAN aircraft are due to take place. I wasn't aware if affected economy, so Neil's reasoning is correct I would presume. Enjoy your trip

Economy won't be affected by the PE refit restriction but it is affected by the 60% rule (just as UC is too)

I have been checking since Xmas Time must of been booked up by then too! It won't give me an option of upgrading to PE which I really wanted to do as the flights were a gift I was happy to pay the little extra!

The fact it is Easter will mean the flights are VERY busy in all classes. Flights will have been on sale since May last year and a lot of people will have booked straight away to ensure they got their required dates, so the 60% allocation will have gone very quickly.

It will be the same reason why you aren't getting the option to upgrade to PE, it is a popular product at what is probably the busy 4 week period for flights to/from MCO. If there are any seats left they might be selling them on the day, but in my opinion and experience of flying to MCO at this time of year, I wouldn't hold your breath.
