LGW 747-400 "mini cabin"

hi everyone

in the v.2 747-400 (LGW-LAS), there is a "mini cabin" in Economy, at the very front of the E section, just behind PE.

does anyone know when these seats become available for selection online?

I remember last time I booked these, they were greyed out/taken in the months leading up to departure day, it was only when I casually checked our seats a short while before departure day, I noticed nearly the whole "mini cabin" was available for selection.

I much preferred sitting here as it was a little more peaceful!

on the flights I have been on, they have only become available a few hours before OLCI opens

i thought they were kept back for families or passengers with special requirements ?

If my reading of the refurb plans is correct then the mini Y cabin on the main deck is being replaced with an expanded PE cabin so it won't be around for much longer !
