Hi

I am flying to Washington in June in PE. I am not sure what seat to go for. I am flying on my own. At the mo I have 19D, I figured that I would stand more chance of getting a couple next to me and that way I wouldn't have to get up to let people out, or should I go for a C seat and then hope no one sits next to me (not very good at these decisions as I have never flown on my own so always chose A and C for me and my husband) ?|

Any help/views would be good.

Thanks

Personally I would go for a window seat on the back row of the cabin.
Unless the flight is full you stand a good chance of the seat next to you being free.

Others may be able to help more if you state the aircraft type you are flying on.

It's an A340-600, looking at the seat map now I only have a choice of the back 2 on each side or the whole middle block. I thought the back ones would be disturbed by people using the toilets?!?

I flew out and back to JFK in the back 2 of the PE cabin on the 600 and didn't have any problems with the toilets behind. By choice wouldn't go for the block in the middle of the toilets. The window seats have a wardrobe/cupboard between them and the toilets so there is a bit of a gap.
