These are just educated guesses as I don't have particular experience with these aircraft, but based on my recent trip I would say

LHR 747 config 3 & 4 seats 32DEFG
The A346 seats 18AC & 18HK and possibly 18DFG (not sure about the bulkhead wall in front of these)

Just out of interest is there any benefit going PE? Apart from the better food ( :? ) if you booked economy you'd get extra leg room due to the bulkhead seats.

Also if you've phoned up and pre-booked the sky cot then don't bother trying to go on and reserve your seat as the bulkheads are locked-off anyway. In fact that might be your answer - go and view the available seating and see which ones are locked off (but don't reserve any).

Thanks for the reply, I will look into this. We had booked PE before we realised about the sky cot option, so yes we could have saved a bit by going economy.
I've guessed I've learnt something for the future. The extra bags in the hold are a help though, means can take my daughters car seat as well as buggy, saves on hiring some dodgy car seat for silly money.

See my recent trip reports for experience of traveling with an 11 week old baby! We also took our own car seats. Remember the baby gets a full baggage allowance (and hand baggage) and the buggy is free so that should cover the weight.

OK and here is a naughty tip - we also took car booster seats for my boys, put them inside the pram and then bubble wrapped it. Unless you plan to use the buggy up to the gate, you'll note a lot of folk bubble wrapping them before putting them in the hold (remember to take tape for the return journey.)
