2 PE reward upgrade voucher questions

2 quick questions. If anyone knows the answers I'd be grateful...

1. Can I use Amex PE reward upgrade vouchers on an open jaw booking (out London to Boston and back to London from New York)?

2. I have 2 of these vouchers showing on my account. Can I pay for 3 legs using my miles and 1 leg using miles from my wife's account (we are both travelling) and then apply the vouchers from my account to upgrade both tickets?

i regularly do open jaw to the US using miles

i have done the second option a couple of times using miles from two accounts and vouchers from mine. You can split the miles used from the 2 accounts but have to buy a full leg with each account.

I've just booked four PE returns to JFK in August. 1 revenue, one full reward and two upgrade rewards using the vouchers.

Wanted Boston but absolutely no PE reward availability. Loads of availability as usual to New York.

I was informed when booking that the reward vouchers must be used on a return flight and can't be spilt.

Also when trying to use the vouchers I was told when I first rang that there had to be reward availability in economy and PE to use the vouchers.

On ringing back he next day I was informed that PE rewards were available and i could use the vouchers saving 40,000 miles on the 2 tickets.

If in doubt try another operator - I'm not convinced they are all up to speed with the rules of redemption flights.

No they're not up to speed with redmption rules v( .
The vouchers do not have to be used on a return flight as such (they can be used for a one way journey - you will forfeit the return part of the voucher and they cannot be used for two single journeys at different times). There only needs to be availablity in the P (PE reward seat) class bucket. Just to clarify the P fare is the old U fare.
