So, I called the Flying Club line to book a reward flight on VX from SFO to PDX using my VS miles and they don't offer that route for reward flights. This is kind of a let down since I was hoping to finally be able to use my miles within the US. I tweeted to both airlines expressing my dismay.

As a reference, here are the routes from SFO which they do currently offer reward flights:

  • LAS - Las Vegas
  • SEA - Seattle
  • ORD - Chicago
  • PVR - Puerto Vallarta
  • MCO - Orlando
  • PHL - Philadelphia
  • JFK - New York
  • BOS - Boston

Hope this helps others.

You're right, doesn't start until June! In fact I'm booked on the first ever SFO-PDX by VX.

Perhaps so, but notice that Cancun and San Diego are not on that list either. It's truly a mystery to me.

City of roses! Beautiful town. Very European'ish!

Excellent beers & entertainment and free public transport within the city. What's not to like? :D
