Trying to choose 3 seats in UC where one of us is next to Jnr and the other is "opposite" Jnr (and can keep the evil eye on him during take-off and landing...). I have looked at the seatmaps, on v-flyer, but appreciate that reality doesn't always match seatmaps... :?

At the moment, we have the following seats booked:
- outbound (747): 17, 18 & 19K in the nose.
- return (346): 1, 2 & 3D

So
- on the outbound (747): 18 & 19 A are both open - would any of those provide clear view of 18K? Otherwise rows 20 to 24 are completely open. Are the row pairings clearly opposite each other (So 20 G and K and 21K would make a reasonable choice?)?
- on the return (346): 10 to 17K are available, as are 11 - 16G. Any suggestions here?

Thanks
Boo

The suites are not exactly opposite so my advice would be that you would chose a triangular arrangement where Jnr could see or be near both of you. In the 747 an ideal seating would be 12 AK and a 14 be it A or K. With regard to your queries you have to remember on the 747, is that at the end of the A zone where the 17, 18, 19 seats are that the bar is situated there and that it is the widest part of the cabin so it's not as accessible to Jnr as in the B zone. You would be better off in the 20-24 seats

On the 346 I would suggest the G-K section.

To be able to ascertain which seats might be the best I would suggest that you look at the seat maps on this site in the Toolbox in the toolbar above. It gives a truer representation of the position of the suites more than the seat map on the VS website

Thank you very much, honey lamb: will look at all of your advice and the seatmaps on here (very useful to know that they are the most realistic - there is such variance in the different seatmaps :( ).
