Hi all,

I did ask about this months ago but as the flight nears, I wanted to ask again.

We are flying LGW to LAS on the 22nd June and then back from LA to LHR a couple of weeks later, in Premium Economy. The return flight as allocated seats but obviously, what with the refit, there are no seats available to select for the outbound.

I just wondered if anybody had heard anymore information or if it's worth calling Virgin now and asking?

I'm a nervous flyer and if I was seperated from my partner, it would be awful.

Many thanks in advance.

Hi,

The situation is still the same as it was a few months ago really. If you check the MMB page from a few hours before OLCI opens, it seems that the seat map should be available. Sometimes it has been earlier (for me it was about 27 hours in advance of OLCI opening), but although it will show you seats to choose, it won't let you save them.

Now it does seem that VS and its computers are actually allocating seats for pax, about 24 hours in advance of OLCI and then it just depends on how full the flight is whether you will be able to change that selection or not.

Do remember also, that rows 71, 75 and 81 cannot be allocated at OLCI stage, so even if you are unhappy with the seats you get there is still a chance you might be able to change them at the airport.

I shared your concerns a few years ago, but they we unfounded.

As long as you are on the same booking, VS will make every attempt to seat you together, andiff you can't change your seats at OLCI, then try at the airport.

If you are seated apart, then chances are that one or both of you will each be sitting next to a lone traveller, in which case you could even negotiate a swap whilst on the aircraft.

Good luck and have fun!
