Will get around to posing a TR some point but thought i'd share a few thoughts about the A330 in UC to add to the ones we've got here already!

Was on the VS3 in Seat 1A - was a topic about the lights staying on in this seat last week - seems to be fixed ok now this! UC cabin was full with all seats being used and serviceable (aside from a couple of broken flip down arm rests!) on a couple of seats so problems reported other day have been sorted (and it has operated flights every day so must have been a relatively quick fix!)

Definitely more cramped than the old UC, am quite a big chap at 6ft7 tall (not quite that wide tho!!) could just about stretch out on the bed however unlike in the old UC (but only when head was jammed in one corner and feet in other corner on ottoman!) is the width at shoulder area that's the issue though, doesn't get any wider like on the older UC!

Could really do with an armrest on the other side, and judging by the few taped up ones in the cabin the one that is there on the other side isn't that strong!

Felt quite private at the front and added bonus of there being some space in front of the seat to keep things stored in flight (as there's not alot of room around the seat for this!)

Recline is definitely better in seat mode, although you do have to force the seat a bit with your body to make it go down all the way when reclining it with the button, perhaps this is why some haven't noticed!

Entertainment system top notch though, lovely picture quality on films but TV shows still seem to be quite bad quality and windowed on the screen. Surely isn't a need for this.

Turned it into a bed for a couple of hours and matrtess is definitely softer than before (even without the new topper on which doesnt even fit the entire seat?)

To be honest (as many of us thought!) just feels alot more cramped - but with getting more seats into the same place this was always going to happen. Bit unsure as to how it'll stand the test of time too as a/c was only a few months old and was already showing it's age inside in areas!

Thanks for sharing your thoughts from your flight yesterday. I would agree that seat is softer and does recline a little more (though agree you need to push it with your body!!)

How strange that the topper doesn't fit the seat fully - the crew on my own flight simply said "its typical" but a little crazy on a new product and new topper only launched in May... v(

I will post my own TR later today from my flight last weekend. The cabin is cramped but with more seats in, you are right, it would be and nothing will change that other than to take some seats out - which won't happen due to revenue expectations.

Think it is for sure suck it and see.
