I'm not great with directions, but I will say, make sure you don't turn off too early, the turning before the DTCI at LHR is a security check point onto the airfield, it is quite clearly posted as so, but many people looking for the VS DTCI manage to go down there. Once you turn down there, there is no turning back! Full search of car, contents and passengers, then escorted around the airfield to be let out and take a second attempt at DTCI :P

When we were dropped off on 7th August it was very easy indeed. Keep in the very left lane when you approach T3 departures and there's a purple 'Virgin Upper Class' sign just before you reach a 'Y' in the road directing you to a security barrier on the left. Go through there and bob's your uncle.

Obviously you need to be pre-booked with the UC team to be allowed in.

With the T2 building works the entrance has changed and been brought earlier. It's now sign-posted and fully logo'd. One word of caution, the left turn is extremely tight now so make sure you line up giving yourself a chance.

When you book your slot with the UC team they will send you a map with a confirmation email.

I've booked a slot for next month where I will be taking my own car for the first time. In the past when I have used DTCI I have been dropped of by Tristar (when in the relevant booking class). I'm thinking about giving purple parking a go which I know some of you on here have used in the past. Do I need to let them know in advance that I will want the driver to take me around to the Upper Class wing or is this at the discretion of the driver?

Thanks in advance

I passed the DTCI entrance earlier on the Hotel Hoppa bus. As others have said, it's just after most of the T2 building works & clearly signposted. Have to agree that the turn looked like a *very* tight left hand turn - I bet there have been a few scrapes there.
