Hi everyone

I've booked two reward flights in UC to NRT for next month. We'll be arriving at LHR with some friends who are travelling VS Economy to SFO and we'd like to sign them in to the clubhouse.

I was just browsing the Fare Codes on the toolbox on this site and noticed that for G class tickets it states 'A ticket in this class will allow you to utilise the Clubhouse/Shared lounge on your journey for you and one guest flying with you'. All the other UC far codes say you can sign in your guest 'providing they are on a Virgin ticketed flight on the same day'.

The rule suggests that for the G class ticket your guests have to be on the same flight as you.

When I contacted VS they first said we wouldn't be able to sign in our guests, then they said they'd made a mistake and that we could. They seemed a bit uncertain, so to avoid potential embarrassment at the clubhouse entrance, does anyone know for sure if we'll be able to sign them in?

Sorry if this has been answered before, but I couldn't find any clarification on it. Thanks in advance

Hi and welcome to V-Flyer :)

A reward ticket (G Fare) is no different from any other Upper Class fare. For each ticket you can have one Clubhouse guest, but they must be ticketed to be on a VS flight for that day. It doesn't have to be on your flight but they cannot enter until you arrive and must leave when you do.

Which SFO flight are they on? VS19 or VS41?

Thanks for the welcome and your response.

They're on VS19, so will be leaving a few hours before us. As we'll be arriving at LHR in time for their flight it means a long wait for us in the clubhouse, but we're quite looking forward to making the most of our time there!

Considering booking a DTCI slot as we'll all be arriving together. Is it still a smooth process if your car's got passengers on different flights?

Interesting point. The DTCI facility (and associated check in/ security) are - and ISTBC on this - for UC passengers only. Not sure whether they'll cope with a mix of UC and Economy passengers.
