VX to have a lounge at LAX

Long rumoured, sometimes counter rumoured, but according to the VX web site if you reach Elevate Gold status one of the perks is:

Plus, starting in the fall of 2012 you can take two free day passes to our airport lounge at LAX, where you can sip drinks, grab a snack, and kick back before your L.A. flights.

Call me a pessimist but it only says their airport lounge... could be from a partner airline

Wow, that is interesting, esp given that they told me they wouldn't. I suspect it's going to primarily be a VA lounge that VX use. Anyway, cheers for the info.

Apologies if this has been answered elsewhere, but do we know what VS are going to do for a lounge at LAX when Air NZ moves to the Tom Bradley international terminal in 2014?

Presumably sharing with VX isn't an option as they use different terminals. Will they take over the current Air NZ lounge and turn it into a clubhouse (here's hoping!)?
