I booked earlier this week a couple of VS UC tickets for Nov and paid for them today. The travel agent issued the tickets, but one of the tickets is in the wrong name (same first letter but that's about it)!

I know it's the agent's responsibility to resolve, but what normally happens here? Unfortunately the agent had left for the day when I got the confirmation. I did speak to notify the VS UC team but they said name changes aren't allowed and couldn't do anything.

Not a good week for this travel agent as they screwed up my first booking by letting the reservations lapse before issuing the tickets a week earlier v(

As you say, it is the agents responsibility to resolve this issue, even if they would allow name changes, VS will not be able to help as they can't make changes on bookings not made directly with them.

Ok thanks

I hope this screwup doesn't result in another cancelled trip - UC is now full when trying a dummy booking and the same agent messed up the same booking for early Nov!

I do hope this gets resolved successfully for you but I would ask why are you using the same agent that has screwed up before? :0

It was a free trip in economy, I wanted to upgrade so paid the difference.

Always use VS directly to book, but had to use this agent to get the upgraded tickets.

Still awaiting their response however....
