Just a big thank you to TN at the Flying Club Gold Call Centre for her efficiency, on 18th and 19th December, in booking a pair of upgradable economy tickets and deducting a few air miles to allow us to sit in the pointy bit of the aeroplane to LAX and back from IAD. y)

Have you posted on the VS fave book page? Always good to have good experiences listed there instead of the usual (often self inflicted) moans ! Greg and Howard usually pass things like this onto the staff concerned.

I apologise for sounding grumpy, but wouldn't you expect the premier team to be able to book an upgraded UC return?

Was there more to it than that?

Ahhh Scrooge popping out a few days early this year.... :P

Judging from my experiences here.. given some of the ineptitude of VS CS in the past, the arrogance delivered in statements so obviously false when corrected you get the "excuse me sir, I work for Virgin.." line.. ?| , I'd say this is a Christmas miracle!!

A customer service operator that has delivered the aforementioned customer service... wow 8D

Is that Face Book and, if so, do you have to have a FB account to post?

Yes, there was; she was polite, helpful and searched for available seats, couldn't find an upgradeable seat coming out of the West coast and we opted for Dulles as we're going to be in Colorado at the end of the trip. She held the tickets to allow me to confirm with my American friends and rang me back on the following evening.

I've read a lot of criticism of the Call Centre team but they have always delivered for me; the post was intended to provide feedback to the FC Au Call Centre as VA read the forums.

Hopefully, TN will get a 'well done' from her Line Manager as positive feedback is something that is often lacking in today's society, as is saying 'thank you' and opening doors for ladies.

Anyway, Merry Christmas to all V-Flyers, I'm off to prepare traditional Hungarian Goulash, Beef Stroganof and Boeuf Bourguignonne.

Slinky

I'm taking along someone who has never flown with VA.

We're already lined up for a Korean scrub in Los Angeles, the Mandarin Oriental in Las Vegas and a tour of the micro-breweries in Colorado with the leader of one of the biker clans; it's going to be a wild trip. ;)
