Hi, I am sorry if this has been discussed already. I have two questions at the moment which I would like some help with.
1. How many miles must someone have in order to use them to purchase a seat along with cash?
2. There are four of us in one family, with different accounts. is it possible to put all of the accumulated miles onto one account, and redeem towards a flight for one person?
If they are unclear, I am more than will to try to clarify my questions.
Thank you

1. the minimum is 2,000 which will get you an economy miles+money fare

2. yes but it will cost you to transfer the miles. You cannot have X in one account Y in another and Z in a third and combine them to make enough miles to do something. You can however use miles from seperate accounts as long as each account is contributing the miles required for one sector (the account owner also needs to give VS permission for you to use their miles). so if you needed say 20k miles to upgrade a return (10k per sector) you could use 10k from one account and 10k from another but not say 8k, 6k and 6k from three accounts.

Thanks for the reply. Now another question...if I buy an economy seat from BGI to LGW using miles, do I earn miles that flight?

Not if its a miles and money fare, or a full reward seat Fare, but if you buy with cash an economy fare and use miles to upgrade to another class then you still earn miles on the base fare that you bought
