Will probably need a bit more info first.. :?

How many people are travelling? Which class of travel are you looking to travel in?

A couple of pointers: Companion tickets are nearly useless these days in the best deal category.. Best way to get into UC would be to buy an upgradeable Economy class ticket (cheapest is M fare) and then bump on up into the premium cabins assuming availability.. If you are looking for a straight out reward ticket remember you will still have to pay the taxes and surcharges - no TPs or miles earned though

Hope this was of a little help 8D

Because of the fuel surcharge, using miles on an economy ticket is a real waste of miles (the 'fare' portion of the ticket can be as low as 40 quid, so you're not getting much for your money), so to make those miles stretch, you're better off in Premium or better still Upper. As joeyc says, buying upgradable Economy (M) fares, then using miles to bump up to Upper is the best way to do it since you don't have enough for two outright reward seats (100K each), so you can either buy two M fares and upgrade them for 25K each, or buy one M fare and upgrade that (25K), and spend 100K on an outright reward. Obviously the way to do the latter is put your wife on the outright reward so you still earn miles on the Economy part of your upgraded flight. So you'll earn back 8,672 miles, making that flight only cost you 116,328 miles leaving you nearly enough still in the account for another Economy>Upper upgrade at a later date.

It changed a few weeks ago, M is now the lowest to upgrade with miles.
