Hello, I know that only 60% of the seats are available for pre-booking seats and I am having trouble logging in to the Virgin site (its a group booking and I am not the lead, even though the lead has given us the booking reference - not sure if that makes any difference?) Also it is a Virgin Holidays package (but we have paid for the trip already).

So just wanted to know is the 60% allowed for the plane total or per each class - eg 60% of economy can be booked and 60% premium etc?

We will certainly be checking in at Gatwick the day before the flight so hopefully will be able to get some good seats and not be stuck in the middle four. Thank you. Will post trip reports when we get back (although we still have 90 days to wait!)

It is roughly at 60% per class..

Although, if it does not allow you to even log in then the problem is going to be with either the VH booking reference (they like to give people more than one and sometimes digging through the emails is like a game of whack a mole) or if it registers as a group booking. In that case it is only the group leader that can call up and make seating requests on behalf of the whole group.... I guess the thinking behind this is in the assumption the entire group will want to sit together ;)

Have a good flight 8D
