Hi All,

Can someone tell me if it is possible to link two PNRs (bookings) with the same airline? For example if you have a return flight booked to NYC but your plans change so you will be starting your journey from ABZ - you therefore book a one way from ABZ-LHR to connect to the NYC flight. Can these bookings be linked or the two bookings combined?

If they can't, is it likely VS will check your bags all the way through when you start your journey in ABZ or would you have to collect them at LHR and check in again?

Many thanks :)

They won't be able to merge your two bookings in to one, giving you just one PNR, but they should have no problem checking your bags all the way through if all flights are on VS.

Thanks Neil.

One of the reasons I ask is I am booking a trip to Johannesburg in September outbound from Aberdeen and returning into London. Booking this as one trip costs £2079.52 in PE (Out 28 Sep, RTN 5 Oct)

If you book the ABZ-LHR separately it costs £64 and the LHR-JNB-LHR costs £1405.45 for a total of £1469.45.

BA are charging £1374.84 for ABZ-JNB-LHR on one PNR. Can we attribute this price discrepancy to VS's lack of experience with connection pricing? Would you book the flights separately? The only issue I can see is I would only be able to take one piece of hold luggage on the domestic sector and I may have an issue if the scheduled times change.

All comments welcome :)
