Hi,

I've got a flight to LAX in a few weeks' time, and was wondering what the likelihood is of experiencing the new UC suite? I know the airline changes planes around as necessary, but wondered if this is one of the routes that often/usually flies re-fitted suites?

Also - has anyone used the showers in the LHR clubhouse? If so, are towels supplied?

You have zero* chance of getting a 330 and therefore UCDS on this route. There is no 'refit' programme for UC suites, they are only fitted in the incoming new 330s.

* edited to add....well, as close to as makes no difference. Never say never, and all that...

All towels and Cowshed gels and shampoo stuff supplied.
The only thing that isn't supplied in the shower room is the essential Mojito (or other suitable refreshment) in order to start (or continue?) a true V-Flyer tradition. This should be ordered from the bar in advance and accompany you into the shower room ):

....maybe not into the actual shower though :0

I may be wrong, but I believe that if fully laden, the A330-300 does not have the range for LHR-LAX non-stop.

Thanks for the info about the flight. I did try looking first. Makes no difference, it will be what it will be, I was just curious to pick brains!

And thanks for the info about the showers too. Not something I'd seriously considered before, but it's a mid pm flight and long flight, so might just try them out!
