Hi.

Someone as posted on another forum that 26 April is one of the busiest days to fly to MCO. They have also suggested that 2 flights ave been merged into one - am assuming this s the LGW flights ......can anyone shed any light please? Are these statements correct? Cheers

Sorry but a few inconsistencies in your post.

One of the busiest days to fly to MCO (not sure why as it's not Easter or half term) yet it's so quiet that VS are cancelling flights

I read it as the OP asking if the flight that is heading into MCO on the 26th is busy because they have merged two into one or whether the load is light... a simple load check request perhaps ?|

Yes, the MCO flights go through either MAN or LGW

2 questions pop into my head, first off are you on it? :P
Secondly another forum :0 :0 :0 :P which one out of curiosity?

It didn't make sense to me either which is why I asked the question to the people who I thought would know :-)

Yes I am flying that day from MAN and am hoping that the 2 flights do not get merged

I am flying on the vs27 that day, I must admit I was very surprised to suddenly see vs15 disappear from the availability displays for that day a few weeks ago. Glad I bagged my seats at the 90 day mark as naturally the vs27 is now a busy flight. Both flights that day were meant to be on 744 as well.

I know you might think it a busy period, but actually with Easter early, late April/early May is a fairly quiet time for MCO and obviously the loads were showing that which is why they have decided to merge the two flights together.

I have just taken another look at the availability and its only UC and PE that are busy ex LGW, yet MAN is still showing as 2 flights that day.

We're flying on the 27 on Sat 20th April and the 15 is still running, both are 744... Looking at the free seats on the 27 it seems a fairly light load at the moment! I guess there is still time to drop the 15 :?

Probably not the right place, but I'm booked on the 15 at the end of May. Does it get cancelled often?
I will be travelling to Gatwick from Liverpool so might need to change travel plans if there's even a hint that it might be cancelled.

I would imagine that VS look at the loads on each flight before deciding which one to drop, but what happens in the situation where you may have very light loads on both outbound flights, but the return leg the aircraft operates is fully booked. Having to rebook/accomodate 400+ passengers to either other airlines/hotels is no easy task ?|
