Hello folks - opinions wanted

I know there is the seat review in the toolbox section, but this is more general than specific seats. Window or aisle in PE on vs200... What's the feeling??

I like both for equal reasons - is there a better long haul seat?

I mean, we all know the best option is to turn left on entry, but on this occasion I'm in PE on this flight?

Also, have any 747s ever flow this route. I'm assuming ill have a 346 but just wondered if va had ever flow a Boeing on the syd route recently

Cheers all

Sam

In general I think that if you sleep easily on flights, take the window to avoid disruption. If like me you usually stay awake, then the aisle seats give a feeling of more space.

If fly the VS200 a lot, and from LHR there can be a few spare seats in PE. If so, it's an advantage to take centre section aisle, as you have the best chance of an empty seat next to you.

Both VS200 and VS201 between LHR and HKG are night flights, so don't go for the window expecting a view.

I hope that helps a little?

Yes, just make sure you don't go for 23D or G as these are directly beside the loos and often get adverse comments.

Back on topic, Osy's advice is sound. I recently flew to Shanghai with a colleague and we had the two (centre) aisle sets D and G in PE with an empty one inbetween. Not quite as good as UC, but probably as good as you will get. The challenge will be that on the LHR-HKG route it is more likely to be full cabin in PE.

Hi Sam,

Do the Shanghai and HK route regularly, the 346 is a great aircraft [my favorite], as others have confirmed dedicated loos but don't sit next to them, all other seats are good, I prefer an aisle seat nearer the front [just to get my preferred meal choice]
Enjoy the flight -- PE on a 346 is quite private.
