Hi - I'm new on here and would like some assistance on aircraft types.

I've been in touch with Customer Services who cannot assist in upgrading my ticket to PE due to our details not being released from our travel agent. I'm onto our travel agent about this now!

However, the reason I'd like to fly PE is because I would like to sit on the upper deck.

Does anyone know which aircraft may be used for a LHR to BOS flight on 5 March 2005 and on the return leg on 16 March (landing in LHR on 17 March).

I'd really love it to be a 747 but any assistance anyone could give, I'd be grateful.

Many thanks

Hi and Welcome :)

Looking at the ITN site VS11 and VS12 on these dates are showing as an A346 both ways so doesn't look like a 744 sorry.

The way I did this is goto this web site then enter your travel dates and cabin class, then select VS both ways then select the VS option then have a look at the seat map. I selected Upper Class and the map is showing as an A346 Upper cabin both ways.

You will not be able to select PE as the cabin type so select business class (Upper). Dont worry you wont have buy the seats!!!

Easy to see it's an A346 as there are 3 rows of seats with the middle row split in the middle half way down.

Bear in mind that the A/C could well change nearer the time though.

Thank you very much for that - not really what I wanted to hear though.

On the 340-600 - for PE customers, do you have to use Economy toilets?

On the A340-600 there are toilets located directly behind the Premium Economy cabin on both sides whereas the A340-300 the toliets are located further down in the main Economy cabin.
