Afternoon all,

I'm looking at booking the Boys annual Snow trip to Lake Tahoe CA 8D

Some of my friends are not FC members and therefore have no miles to spend and want things done as cheap as possible so I was wondering am I able to book their trip through Virgin Holidays and get the 10% AU discount if I'm not part of the booking :?

I'm hoping to use my miles for one of those elusive G's ): and will then go on to join Mrs H in Las Vegas for a week :D

Many thanks

Dominic

Doubt it, to be honest. The VH FVC conditions include the following in the t&c...

3.3 Only the member and their immediate family, when travelling with the member, are eligible for the 10% discount. If friends/family are travelling on the same booking, only the holiday costs attributable to the member and their immediate family are eligible to receive discount.

Could be wrong though....

ETA From the VS website t&c

"the Flying Club member must be booked and travelling on the Virgin Holidays...reservation"

There's usually a 10% online discount anyway with VH.

VH is not the cheapest agents though by any means now so might be as well to shop around too.

Thanks, it looks like less than 5% at the moment v(

I'm looking at booking a Fly Drive as we have rented a house for the time we're in Tahoe, two of us are hoping to use miles for G's and want to keep the group on the same flight as for most of them it's their first USA trip and they're unsure about driving on the wrong side of the road etc.

Flights with VS are £755pp in Y at the moment but with VH fly drive it's coming out at £695pp including a Chevy Tahoe for four people for two weeks y)

Well jel (as the kids say ): !!)

Tahoe is an amazing place I have been Snowboarding there since 2000, most years twice or more as we have lots of friends living there and working on the mountain or in local bars and restaurants ):

This year we are finally going to make it out there for the summer 8D can't wait for August to come, Hiking, Mountain Biking and lazy days on the lake and BBQ and Beer during the evening at my buddies house (no hotel costs either ): )

VS019 UC then a Convertible Camero SS to take us up to the Lake, happy days :D y)
