Folks, I am new to the forum and I am looking for some help with a query. We are flying back from Vancouver Upperclass in September, getting in to Heathrow at 4pm on a Sunday, with a connection at 8pm to Edinburgh on Little Red. Is there a lounge we can use during this 4 hour wait? I am guessing Arrivals is well past shut at this time.

I used my Priority Pass for the Servisair T1 lounge, and wish I hadn't bothered.

Gate 8 has a decent Costa coffee, lots of seats and is flooded with daylight.

We tried asking VA via the contact us bit on the website, we used the email chat. All we seemed to get was a stock answer about lounge usage, guessing as Little Red is a new service they have not got all of the answers yet. Would be great to hear of any experiences.

I would also be interested in Lounge arrangements. Flying from Manchester to Vanvouver and return in a few weeks using 'Little Red' for the first time.
The available Lounges at Manchester and London for Red passengers has been mentioned in previous threads but I have lost them! :( Will be in Upper Class and am Gold member so will be enjoying the Clubhouse on the way out, but like geordietone wonder about arrangements in T1? ?|

If you're Au then you can use the Servisair lounge in T1 as Sealink said, see here.

I believe that if you're connecting from UC to a Little Red service then you can use the lounge at T1 - details here although a little ambiguous. You can certainly use the respective lounge at MAN, EDI or ABZ on the outbound. Be good to have confirmation from anyone who has done it? Of course when you arrive at T3 for your Vancouver flight you'll be able to use the Clubhouse.

Slightly OT, but with 364 days to go until T2 opens and Little Red moving into that terminal soon afterwards, I wonder what they'll do about lounge access for connecting passengers?

Indeed as others have said you will be able to use the Servisair lounge at T1. You will need an invitation card, but the transfer desk can issue this which you will have to visit in any case which is near the lounge.

It seems a Servisair thing that an invitation card is needed at LHR T1 as I wasn't provided with one a few weeks back and they had to phone check in, as the boarding pass wasn't enough........though when checkin at LHR T1 a gold flying club sticker is now applied so you can use fastback but that won't be needed as you are transferring.

The Servisair is not up to much, windowless with basic snacks, wifi and drinks but ok for a little it. I agree with Sealink, the area around Gate 8 ( where the Little red flights depart from) is great for airport views too......

Enjoy and let us know how you get along.

Haha,

It's all going well, maybe too well :D

Just checked in at EWR, bags tagged through to EDI, boarding pass issued for LHR - EDI along with lounge invitation for the (servisair) lounge.

So far, so good as the champagne has just arrived y)

The transfer itself was pretty painless. Follow flight connections, get on a bus, clear immigration then head to the lounge.

(And I suppose pray that your bags have made the transfer as well ;) )

Yes, apart from a little delay "driving" round Heathrow for an hour it was very easy.

Looks like I timed the departure well as the 1st tropical storm of the season is about to hit the sunshine state today. :w
