First time poster....

Am looking for VS flights to and from Antigua out 16th Nov, back 28th Nov. Looking for PE. The price has been about £1,030 for a month or so, with at least 8 seats available both ways on K fares (based on booking engine at VS) and flightstats showing 9 seats.

And then last night I checked again to find I am now +£100 per head because the return flight has no K fares, so has to be a S fare.

Disaster !!

I can only assume that they have a large party (wedding?) on the return flight.

However flightstats still shows at least 9 K fares available.

So what do the experts think? Is this a temporary glitch and K fares may re-appear if I hang on or maybe I should just cut my losses and take the S fare?

I am pretty fixed on my dates, as hotel and annual leave already booked.

Welcome to v-flyer!

I can't help much with the apparent glitch between VS and flightstats. But as always in these situations, it's a risk weighted decision. Odds are pretty good that there will be a PE sale before you go, and if my £800 returns in the Easter hols are anything to go by, those aren't the cheapest fares you're seeing.

Easy to say this from my cosy armchair position, but I'd probably give it another month or two before committing. Others may well disagree!

Of course another consideration - if you have a decent amount of miles and there is upgrade availability on the way back - you might want to consider taking what's on offer and upgrading to Upper Class. Couple of big 'if's there though!

Just booked the flights. Now started to see availability outbound in PE dropping, so decided to get in there.

PE out, and UC back (using miles to get to UC from PE), £1170 each, so not too bad.

Roll on November, and those cocktails at Galley Bay.
