I do want to use the Upper Class Wing, and I have been told differing things by VA. One on inter active 'chat' said straight away, but on the phone they said phone a month out.

When do you book?

Is it exactly a month, or 30 days, or have you booked before that date?

I am about 48 days out from my flight from Heathrow in UC now.

THANK YOU in advance.

Hi upper class cat
Love the name btw
My understanding is that you book a month before. So if you are due to fly out on 15th say then call on the 15th or 16th of the month prior. That's what I was told by VS on the phone.
But I'm sure one of our AUs can clarify

Hi Cat, from the Virgin website:-
To use the Upper Class Wing...

As long as you're an Upper Class passenger, all you need to do is call 01293 493600 within one month of travelling and up to 12 hours before your flight (between 7am and 8pm) with the following information:
Full flight details, including unique locator reference or ticket number

The names of all the passengers in the vehicle, and whether or not they're flying

The full passport details of flying passengers, and the address of their first night stay if travelling to the U.S.

The car registration, make, model and colour

The chauffeur or driver's name

A mobile number of the driver or passenger

The number of bags to be checked in

An email address for the confirmation

An estimated time of arrival

Cheers

Gerry

Cheers for posting that link Penny, thought a bit of deja vu was going on... or I was losing my mind ;)

Same answer as before Upper Class Cat, book it no more than 30 days out.

gfonk wrote:Has anyone been unable to get a slot before due to over booked

No :P

The wing is constructed to take more than a few cars at once, 6 I think. I have never seen more than two in the bays at any one time before.

On booking they give you a 30 minute window, but if running early or late, just give the wing a call and all should be well. |:)

Thank you that helps, I did book purple parking as well and just a bit worried trying to co ordinate it all and the slots, I saw a video and it showed a few car parking places but also VS have a lot of flights going out as well so whilst there isn't to many UC customers, overall with a number of flights there is the possibility of slots going, together with the offer of ''guest list'' booking as well.

Sounds cool
I reckon you will be fine hey
As joeyc said earlier it doesn't seem like they enforce the drivers name issue
Could you update us on how you get on?

PS - apologies it seems I simply reworded your question earlier.

Out of curiosity what are you coordinating? Call Purple Parking, tell them time of arrival and ask if the driver can take you through the wing. Call VS, ask them to use the wing at the same time.... simple, no?

I wouldn't worry too much about the wing being inundated at any one time... the slot system is purely so they know who is coming through and at roughly what time so they can prep your boarding pass and luggage tags before you get there. The turnaround is really quick and in most of the cases the driver drops the pax off then drives off.. just like any other drop off zone, although much nicer with no chance of getting wet from curb side to terminal building :P
