Best time to buy seats to Johannesburg 2014

Hi there,

You have all been really helpful in the past so I'm hoping you won't mind helping me again.

We plan to visit my husband's family in Durban, South Africa in May 2014. This will be the first time that we will be buying four seats as my youngest will be over 2. I want to try and get the very best price possible. Does anyone know if there is any 'general timetable' on when Virgin have seat sales for next year flights? Just so that I can be ready to pounce..!

I am afraid that the VS seat sales are very stochastic in nature, and occur when the mythical revenue management department foresee the need to fill flights. If you see BA are having a sale odds are VS will too though.

My advice would be to have a look every now and again and if you see a price you are happy with, book it.
