Hello All,

Flew out on G-VFAR on Monday to ORD. Now i knew it was going to be a A340-300, but i actually thought that the new vera or at least the on demand had been installed on both the A340-3 and the A340-6. Any idea when / if this will happen?

So returning tonight from YVR on what i believed would be the new A330, as I seem to remember that the VS96/95 was operated by this type. Éven with all the bad vibes about the A330, i actually like it, especially over the A340-300. have flown it a couple of times to DXB. So anyway, when i checked in, I realised that it was going to be yet another A340-300. And guess what... yes G-VFAR again. Lucky Me...

Only good thing that could come out of this, is that I am in the same seat, 5A and perhaps i am able to find my bag with duty free, which i left behind when deboarding in ORD on Monday evening... Mostlikely not...

Will write TR if good old Molly supprices me. If nothing else, the return trip tonight will see me renewing my Gold Status in less than 6 months.

All the best

jensenma...

PS, any tips for an enjoyfull experience at YVR? See that lounge is shared one, Plaza Premium Lounge. Warnings signs that it is a Priority Pass lounge springs to my mind...

There is only one A343 with VERA on demand (V-Port), the rest have VERA Reel (Odyseey), IFE on these a/c will not be upgraded.

Only the A330 a/c and the LGW/MAN 747's have VERA Touch, the LHR 747' and A346's all have VERA on demand.

I flew out of YVR last year and I found the lounge there not too bad. There was hardly anyone in there apart from VS passengers and the room itself was light and airy. Drinks and snacks are available but as I was unwell at the time I can't really comment on the choice.

I flew on Molly too
