I am trying to get my daughter from the US-UK one way Nov 1/2/3

Best I can find is Boston-LHR, Fri 1 econ for 17500 miles

She has 24000 miles which I would prefer to use
I have 4000 plus 20000 in flyin co plus a one way reward flight I could cancel and get 17500 back

I have the Amex PE vouchers !!

Can she book the EC sector and then use my voucher later if a flight comes free or do I have to use my miles (and can she transfer hers to me)

I have a headache looking !!

Hmmm a tricky one, as it is your voucher you will have to book the tickets... I would say as long as you are authorised to spend miles from her account then the PE upgrade should be useable too.

In my view transferring miles is normally a waste of time and money given the transfer costs. :w

What is the end game here? Is it a one way UC reward flight from BOS to LHR?

end game is a)to get her back home and b) PE if poss...at present there is only EC available , if I can use one of my vouchers later then that's great

Yeh should be ok.. I would suggest that you are the one doing the booking if you want to use the PE vouchers.

It will mean you can call up and change it when/if PE opens up without having to go through much of a hoo ha. y)

Failing that, there are the flyingco miles that you can authorise her to spend. Whilst one of the two account contacts are the only ones that can use the miles, it is possible to give them a call and authorise the mileage use for on the day upgrades if nothing opens up beforehand. It will mean another phone call by the check-in staff but assuming FlyingCo know what is going on they will have no problem using 10K to upgrade the one way.

Hopefully PE reward availability will open up before then though 8D

I'd forget about trying to transfer miles between two accounts - the cost of which isn't that much different from buying them for the account that needs them.

But you can each cross authorise use of miles from your accounts. You would each need to phone VS to do this.
