Hi everyone,

Been a lurker here for a while and have benefited from a lot of useful information thank you, so thought I should say howdy.

I'm a regular VS flyer, sadly mostly in the back of the plane, although with work having stumped for a PE ticket to SYD earlier this year I have reached AU status. Won't keep it for more than the year, but looking forward to it whilst it lasts!

Hello !
Love your name ! As gfonk has remarked - that is a lot of trips in Y. I wonder if it is some kind of record !
Look forward to your contributions.

Snap Kneesroundmychin! Exactly the same as me! The tier point promotion last year has made this possible, along with little red and one PE Sydney return later this year!

As with you, there is no chance of my retaining AU, I am perpetually AG, for what little that is worth.

Temptation is to blow all my miles this coming year to max out the lounge access while flying in PE :)

Welcome to the board!

Welcome to the board!

Why blow all your miles to max out on lounge access when you are already Au and get lounge access automatically? ?| Save them till you revert to Ag

Well now, you see I will only be AU for one year so the more flights I can make in the year the more lounge access I can enjoy without needing to upgrade to UC. To be honest with most of my trips being east coast I frequently have upgraded to UC over PE mostly to enjoy the lounge, but for one year only I can ride in PE or even Economy with no (ok just a little) regret at not being in the front.

It is no coincidence that I am taking the family to California with VS at Easter.

With no prospect of reaching AU renewal in 2014 and realising that AG counts for little, I am even considering taking a trip to the dark side for long haul next year as I use them for most uk and eu travel. We shall see... May have to change my Amex as well...
