Just out of curiosity... It appears that G-VINE is the only aircraft that operates one route - LGW-BGI, or rather according to 'Flight Status'. Would anyone know why this is?

I think at the moment she is the only LGW A330 with a large UC cabin and BGI is a heavy UC route.

You'll notice that when she has day off one of the LHR 747s does the flight rather than an LGW one.

I was wandering as well as why aren't G-VSXY and G-VKSS operating it. Turns out that the aircraft has been reconfigured in an 3 class config (LHR)and has upper class but a 747 operates VS29/30 on Thursdays. The 747 is an LGW one

One from LHR? Or one of the LGW fleet and lots of downgrades!

But the other 2 2-cabin A330s are being converted to 3 class

G-VINE went tech a couple of weeks ago, it was replaced with a 2 class A330 for a couple of days and yes a lot of unhappy UC passengers and a lot of transfers to BA club world and some downgrades,

Does anyone know if the A330 (Champagne Belle) is going to continue flying 6 days per week to BGI throughout the busier winter season in Barbados.
Will Virgin be going back to flying their 747's every day?

I believe that 99% percent of Caribbean flights will be A330 in the 3 class config for the winter season. This has resulted in significantly increased frequencies to several destinations and more non stop flights. It also improves things for the airline by providing for the higher end tourists while cutting out more of the lower end through reduced Y capacity.

More Gs where they are sorely needed!

We asre off to St Lucia on 4th October, showing as an LGW 747, returning on 18th Oct currently showing as an LHR 747 - so I guess it could well be pot luck!

Doesn't the winter schedule usually start towards the end of October?

Whilst we are on the subject of specific planes, whats happened to Maiden Tokyo? Hasn't left LHR since last week according to the web and they seem short of 343's as 346's and 330's seem to be filling in.

My guess would be she is in for the aircraft version of a service and mot.
