As it is 90 days before our annual Dubai flight I thought i would check the seat map first thing this morning. To my surprise it was there in all its glory 15 hours and 38 minutes early :D . Great I thought select the seats we want press submit and a message comes up seats not available. ?|
Any ideas anyone?

Too early, while the seat map becomes available, you can't 'save' any seat selections until much closer to the exact 90 day mark.

I've just done ours to MCO on Dec 19th. The seat map allowed selection at 8am on the dot.

Ditto for my Dec 19th flight (ABD part 6)....90 days and 7 hours out. And interestingly lots of people must have done the same as nothing available in Y ahead of row 42!

The front section in Y is always held back so it may just be blocked off. Same as first couple of rows in PE. Everything except bulkhead released a few hours before OLCI opens I believe. Bulkhead only at the desk.

It just goes to show that in spite of the moans about T-90 most folks really are not that bothered about where they sit or surely they too would be poised over their PC/iPad etc as we are at T-90. No need to post arguements folks we all know this is a derisive subject :)

Looks like we have cracked a VA secret! Haha
Just need to work out the PE to UC conundrum. 200k miles are really burning a hole in my pocket!!

15 days before the flight and 4 G's pop up. 40k of miles gone and a very happy family looking forward to flying back from Dubai in style. Just need to keep looking for the outbound G's!

Hi

We are flying VS400 LHR-DXB on 25th March at 9.10pm meaning I should be able to allocate seats on Christmas Day!

From experience what time do you think the allocation system will be available?

Many thanks

Hi

Have just requested 2 seats for VS029 LGW-BGI on 12 March (90 days time), logged on at 8.15 and first 3 rows in PE not available. I'm not too sure if these have been held back or if others have been quicker than I have!

Seat requests for the return flight will be up on Boxing Day so no lie in for me that day!!

Those PE rows will almost certainly be reserved for Virgin Holidays passengers - most LGW flights have sections of Y & PE blocked off for them. Any that remain unsold a few days before the flight are then thrown back into the pot.

Thanks for the response, it's a bit annoying as we're booked on a Kuoni holiday as the same trip with Virgin Holidays was more expensive and Virgin wouldn't match the price. :?

You win some, you lose some!

I will check back nearer the time however to see if perhaps the seats become available.
