Funny thing Virgin Atlantic hotel prices are cheaper than Virgin Holidays !

I have already booked PE flights, Alamo SUV car hire and Bewleys hotel hotel and parking pre holiday. All at very good prices

I have been waiting weeks for a good price to come up for a particular hotel in Orlando.

The normal hotel bed brokers are £498 for 14 nights.

I checked Virgin Holidays and hotel only came to £466 that's £32 cheaper

I then checked Virgin Atlantic for hotel rooms and it came to £421 that's £45 cheaper than Virgin Holidáys and £77 cheaper than the hotel bed brokers.

Of course I booked that up straight away, now all ready for my trip to the mouse

I see you have already booked but don't forget Quidco and TopCashBack for a few more pennies off next time and to those who are looking to book soon :)

Indeed. If you use Quidco (8-12% usually), then hotels.com rewards program (10%) and the price match guarantee of hotels.com you are always guaranteed the best price y)

Hi all
I always search many hotel booking web sites over a month or so before booking.

I have been using this hotel regularly since 1997 and this years price is the cheapest since the days of $2.00 to the £1
I did go through Quidco and my booking voucher says I also get FF miles.

Virgin Atlantic was far cheaper than any of the others (including those listed by other posters).
But I have found that a company offering the best price for one hotel may also be one of the dearest for a different hotel so each time you have to search all websites for best price.

Also the problem with those companies offering to match or beat other prices is that they frequently try to refuse price match/ beat claims on technicalities.

My post was also pointing out how 2 different Virgin companies had different prices.
And that unexpectedly Virgin Atlantic was best price of all.

BTW, did you notice if you go via shops away, hotels.com gives you 10 x points per pound spent (just noticed this has gone up from 5, seems to be a month only offer), thus beating much that VH or VS offer... Can use your black card for 2 more points (or white for 1) if you've got it.

Have never had a problem with claiming on the best price guarantee at Hotels.com, and cashback is still tracked :-). A few times the better price has been when the cost has come down since booking, and still get the refund.

Late last year, cashback on an employee rewards website was at 20%!

Also earlier this year managed to claim over $1000 off a stay in Miami through cashing in on the Hotels.com Rewards program.
