Tier points reduced?

Is it just me or have tier points been reduced on some routes? Example: Cancun in July 14,with Virgin Holidays, PE out and return is just 6 points

I thought 6 was the norm!

6 is the norm for K and H return fare in PE... You only get 8 return when you are in the flexible W and S fare buckets.
