Upgrading at Airport

Hi

I am flying to Cape Town tomorrow and my ticket is a U class ticket - therefore eligible for an upgrade using miles. I have phoned previously and there are no premium seats available but what are the chances of seats becoming available at the airport? I realize it could be quite a full flight? is there a way to check if both economy and premium are fully booked?

Flight Stats is showing straight 9's in both PE and Y so it isn't looking very full, so there is a good chance you could upgrade at the airport.

It might however be better to stay in Y if it is not very full and you could bag yourself a full row of 4 which would be better for sleeping.

Wide open in all classes right now...

Thanks - i expected it to be a full flight - as there are no seats available to choose when you log into the booking to select a seat. (In economy). May be worth the 4 seats then if it is an empty flight.
