Aer Lingus sent me a Christmas card yesterday with a note that their January sale prices were live from yesterday -- would be worth cross checking :)

Hi Guys, After looking a tthis post I decided to check If I could upgrade to upper class for my Holiday Next May. The Price I had been Given was #830 a few weeks ago but with the sale I just bagged an upgrade for 400. To Say I am happy is an under statement.

So Ill now be flying out in upper class for 400 extra thanks to your post. Cant Wait.

Top result David, nice one y)

Just awaiting posts from Blacky1 about Mrs B and divorce proceedings strangely coinciding with the next UC sale :P

Hope all get some good deals, some of the fares are fairly tempting... so are the BA ones in fairness ii)

I notice that the sale covers the period to 12 Dec '14.
But of course VS will not currently allow booking past 20th Nov.
BA however do.

Am I the only one who thinks some of these 'sale' fares are expensive? £2,000 UC, to the east coast, that does'nt sound that cheap to me.

Not great prices for east coast , normally sale fares are just over £1500 for UC to NYC ,
That's what I'm holding out for !!

Just checked out Las Vegas outbound in February, return in March for £1989 UC, seems reasonable for that route y)

Certainly NYC appears to be more expensive once again, though slightly cheaper then the UC sale fare this time last year. Over the past 3 years the sale fare has been less and less attractive, from circa £1600 to around £2000 last year. Not much of a discount and not enough to make me wanna part with my hard earnt cash for a trip across the pond next year :-(. No trip to the big apple for me in 2014.

So the sale has finally come to the Nigeria website, but get this - it's only available to MAN. So if I want fantastic sale fares I have to fly from LOS to LHR and the hop onto LR to MAN and then get back to London (most likely on LR again) and repeat the process in reverse for my return

Checked on Sunday for MAN to MCO in March and got £1486 return in U/C. Went to book on Monday and fare now £2086 :(
Tried again yesterday and got £1486 again, so now me and Mrs Derby Flyer are now booked and happy we don't have to trudge down to Gatwick this time. Result.
