Hi. I'm flying to HKG next on Valentines day on an S fare, so have been keep a very close eye on whether I can use my miles to upgrade to G, by doing a dummy 'Spend Miles' booking. Until today, doing this has resulted in me seeing a calendar of which days have availability. However, now when I try, I just get a message saying "your choice of reward seat is unavailable". Anyone else experiencing the same issue? Is there any other way search for availability? Otherwise, CS are going to get a bit sick of me calling them over the next week!

What happens when the dates you specify aren't available is that the calendar shows other available dates.
If there are no other available dates within the period before or after the date you have selected, you get the 'currently no reward availability' message you are seeing.

Basically it means there is no reward seats in the quantity you require near the dates you want. Of course, this could change on a daily basis so keep checking.
