Hi All.

Going on honeymoon in the not too distant future.

All through Virgin Holidays.
GLA - LGW on Wednesday with BA.
LGW - BGI on VS29 on Thursday.

Return in two weeks from
BGI - LGW arriving Wednesday on VS30.
LGW - GLA at 10am with BA.

Question is will we get the option of checking in baggage all the way at BGI on the way back to GLA or will we have to collect the bags (as I expect to have to do on the way down from GLA - LGW) and re-check in with BA?

42HK Economy out and 20AC Premium Economy back. Can't wait.

Gary.

Assuming all legs are on the same booking reference, I would have thought your bags would be checked all the way through in both directions unless you ask otherwise.

On the outbound, they'd just be stored at LGW overnight (as happens if you use VS twilight check-in there). BA & VS have an interline agreement, so I can't think why you'd have to collect & re-check at LGW. Someone else might know different though.

Think this finished a few years ago, but don't know what the situation will be with one PNR.

oh ok ... well I flew BRU-LHR on BA and LHR-LAX on VS just after Christmas and there was no problem whatsoever checking bags all the way through (well apart from the fact the check-in agent at BRU initially tagged them JFK, good thing I spotted it!).

Thanks all.

I think I might get them done separately on the way out due to the overnight stay at Gatwick in case we need to change outfits etc lol! Can always do the twilight check in as planned anyway.

Also - What aircraft does the VS29 outbound? Is it a nightstop plane or is it the inbound aircraft from the 0725 Orlando flight?
