Afternoon all, we're booked to fly U/C on the 7 to Lax in September, first night on arrival were just in an airport hotel so going on the later flight wouldn't be a big deal. Previously I've been voluntarily bumped from flights quite a few times when I've not needed to travel so I was wondering what Virgins policy on thi would be? Not over bothered about the compo (although it would be nice), just keen for a few more hours in the clubhouse and a burger lunch!

I'd say it's very unlikely you'd get bumped in UC to be honest - it does happen occasionally but I certainly wouldn't go in the expectation that it'll happen.

You can always use a site like flightstats to do a load check to see if UC is full on your flight - obviously too early now though.

If you do get bumped, AFAIK they still give you a Red Select voucher which you can exchange for 40k (I think) miles or a return economy flight to anywhere on the network (subject to availability which is restricted).

I wasn't bumped from UC more 'dumped'.

Our flight to BGI changed from a 3 class to a 2 class with no PE seats. Long story short we were told it was Economy or nothing. It wasn't and that was thanks to here, twitter and BA.

Don't expect it, but IMHO be thankful when it DOESN'T happen! :D
