Hi all.
Probably stupid question but if I booked flight to Florida with Expedia via Amsterdam would I still be able to claim the virgin miles and tier points. It certainly is a lot cheaper in upper and wouldn't mind a day in Amsterdam assuming I can get a cheap one way fare to Amsterdam

Yes you can.

When booking via Expedia, there is a section for you to input your FC number.

Save your boarding passes just in case you have to do missing miles claim though

Hope this helps.

Absolutely you would.

You would also be able to claim miles & TPs with whichever airline flies you from AMS to LGW - probably BA - assuming you're a member of their loyalty programme too.

By the way - have you checked Brussels as well? It can be cheaper than AMS and getting there's a doddle on Eurostar which can be as cheap as £39.

I wouldn't use the term 'dodgy' though to describe it. Go out your way to use a competitive route and get paid a discount for it. Depends on how much you save, really.

And yes, Brussels would perhaps be cheaper and easier. BA was doing good fares, and when I checked a AMS run on VS to Vegas, it was about 400 quid cheaper. I'd check via Brussels now myself, though...
