Has the LHR clubhouse got much busier?

Just wondering what peoples experiences have been of the clubhouse since the tie up with Delta, much busier? has the service suffered at all?

Not that I've noticed.

Nor me - there's a day and time variation, but I can still get a table for lunch..!

Nope not that I have seen, I get a sneaky suspicion that DL business elite and top FF are using the sky team facility which is the No 1 lounge in T3.

A difficult one to call in my view. At times it is packed and flagging down a server is somewhat akin to panning for Gold in the Thames, at other times you are made to feel like royalty thanks to the small visitor to staff ratio.

Give it another few months for the tie in to really be noticed and for the DL FFs to discover the haven of calm that we all know and love. ii)

I don't quite understand this. Is the sky team the same as the Priority Pass lounge, called the "Number 1 lounge" in T3?

Or is the skyteam lounge the best lounge in T3? I'd be surprised it beats the clubhouse...

It's the same lounge, and your correct it doesn't even compare with the club house. Word is just not out to our DL flyers that they can use the club house rather than the Skyteam Lounge. But word will get out I'am sure! Are DL checkin staff telling them they can use the Virgin Lounge, maybe.... Maybe not ):

I would expect that if it does start to become a problem then VS will impose restrictions in order to maintain the standard of CH.
For example, buy-ins will go and maybe even a time limit (for example no more than 3 hours before your flight departure time).
Maybe even restrictions on gold access - such as must be holding a PE ticket.
Giving away comp access may also stop.

I don't find racial or ethnic stereotypes funny - especially when they're written in a way that (I assume?) is supposed to make an entire demographic (i.e. Americans) sound like morons.

Seeing as this board is made up of Americans and Brits mainly (or in the case of many of us, we're both), it's probably a good idea to stay away from ridiculous characterizations.

The irony is that I'm not an overly-sensitive person. But it does get annoying when every Brit puts on a third-rate John-Wayne-meets-inbred-hick accent to somehow classify Americans.

GADZOOKS, someone is just trying to be funny ... lighten up. I've spent an enormous amount of time in GB over the years and have never heard a single Brit pretend to be John Wayne!

What was said above was *clearly* intended in a humorous way. There is no need to find "discrimination" cards where they don't exist. This is a relatively lighthearted forum - and needs those who appreciate it being viewed in that way to participate.
