A difficult one to call in my view. At times it is packed and flagging down a server is somewhat akin to panning for Gold in the Thames, at other times you are made to feel like royalty thanks to the small visitor to staff ratio.

Give it another few months for the tie in to really be noticed and for the DL FFs to discover the haven of calm that we all know and love. ii)

Ah'm an American an ah fly Delta all the time, doggone.
.
It's just ma favourite airline.

Ah took myself to the Virgin Atlantic ClubHouse, and it sure ain't no sandwich, full of limeys havin' afternoon tea, n'all.

To ma mind, ain't worth the energy expenitur getting there 'cos there ain't no travellator to do the walkin' for y'all.

Y'all much better n'happier stayin' in the terminus, as there some dinky lil shops sellin' cute English sooveneers an there are some mighty fine food outlets, jus like home.

Mary Poppins sur is a mighty fine movie.

Please tell me you're not a Brit making fun of an American dialect - or implying that Americans are lazy. As someone who spends time on both sides of the Atlantic (and is a dual national of the UK/US), I can assure you that chav British tourists are far worse than the worst that America has to offer. Especially in their pseudo-cockney-rhyming-trash-not-from-london accent.

Dear lord, give me a hick any day.

I don't quite understand this. Is the sky team the same as the Priority Pass lounge, called the "Number 1 lounge" in T3?

Or is the skyteam lounge the best lounge in T3? I'd be surprised it beats the clubhouse...

It's the same lounge, and your correct it doesn't even compare with the club house. Word is just not out to our DL flyers that they can use the club house rather than the Skyteam Lounge. But word will get out I'am sure! Are DL checkin staff telling them they can use the Virgin Lounge, maybe.... Maybe not ):

I would expect that if it does start to become a problem then VS will impose restrictions in order to maintain the standard of CH.
For example, buy-ins will go and maybe even a time limit (for example no more than 3 hours before your flight departure time).
Maybe even restrictions on gold access - such as must be holding a PE ticket.
Giving away comp access may also stop.

I don't find racial or ethnic stereotypes funny - especially when they're written in a way that (I assume?) is supposed to make an entire demographic (i.e. Americans) sound like morons.

Seeing as this board is made up of Americans and Brits mainly (or in the case of many of us, we're both), it's probably a good idea to stay away from ridiculous characterizations.

The irony is that I'm not an overly-sensitive person. But it does get annoying when every Brit puts on a third-rate John-Wayne-meets-inbred-hick accent to somehow classify Americans.

I would imagine that nv43 ,s comments were purely made in a jokey fashion and weren't meant to cause offence ,nv43 might even be american for all I know so zenithar I would say that in my nearly 2 yrs frequenting this forum Ive only ever found it a friendly and welcoming place and any talk of racial or ethnic stereotyping is frankly ridiculous v(

I appreciate your trying to calm the waters, but I found it offensive - so, please don't diminish that. Their post was stereotypical, and hurtful - especially to those of us who have American friends/relatives, many of which talk with a Southern Accent - but aren't the moronic lazy imbeciles portrayed in that post.

It doesn't have to be someone's intention to offend, to be offensive.

GADZOOKS, someone is just trying to be funny ... lighten up. I've spent an enormous amount of time in GB over the years and have never heard a single Brit pretend to be John Wayne!

After re reading your comments about chav Brits and cockney accents I can't help feel that the only one being stereotypical is yourself :?

Seriously? Either...

a) DON'T be so overly sensitive. HOW can you watch any form of comedy show with that level of sensitivity?
or
b) STOP trying to fuel a fire that isn't there.

What was said above was *clearly* intended in a humorous way. There is no need to find "discrimination" cards where they don't exist. This is a relatively lighthearted forum - and needs those who appreciate it being viewed in that way to participate.

And for reference, your use of the words "Chav" and "Hick" can be perceived as far more offensive to many than the words you claimed were an issue to your own sensitive soul...

Although anyone that heard Dick van Dyke's attempt at a cockney accent would at least agree that the Mary Poppins comment was fair game :-)
