Hi all

Finally after a long wait (flights booked back in August) I have logged on and got our seats request for our flight in UC to LA in July ^) ^) now I will be logging in everyday

Seats booked yesterday for the little red.

59 days and counting ( not excited at all )

Could be argued that the 60 day rule actually adds to the anticipation as it reminds you of the countdown :D

Well done.
There must be someone somewhere who knows how reward seats are allocated but for the life of me I can't figure it.
On 22nd April I booked a flight out to MCO in Feb and back in March 2015.
I was able to immediately upgrade to PE both ways.
Then the outbound UC were issued a day at a time so within about 10 days I got that.
The inbound leg either doesn't change availability or jumps around all over the place.
I'm checking every time I log onto the computer. It's driving me nuts.

But clearly worth doing so well done and enjoy.

Random. I bought PE to upgrade. The return date was the last date available for booking (so flights just released that day). Checked and there were 2 Gs for way out but not 1, 2 or 3 for way back. Called agent who also checked - no Gs for return. Booked 3 upgradeable PE anyway with 2 Gs for outbound. Put down phone and went back to Virgin website and in those 10 minutes 7 Gs had come for the inbound! called and got 3. Next day the final G for the outbound came up.

For another had to check 3 times a day from feb to april to get the final G of 5.

T-60, it will fly from now...you'll be checking everyday (like I do) and before long you'll be in the teens! Thinking what food and drink you'll be having in the CH!

I think that's what you would call 'polishing a turd'

A nice bit of spin on the 60 day shambles there... :-)

On our current project for a bank someone had a number of key rings made up with the 'Polishing A Turd' saying to be handed out as prizes for whoever had, that week, managed the best effort in that regard...

...and yes, I was awarded one...

Personally I think T-60 (or 30 or 90) is great. It pretty much guarantees me the seat I want.

For the majority who don't have the luxury of being able to book 11 months upfront, the system post June 25th will put them at a disadvantage.

Very true. The longer you wait to book or get the reward seat you want the more likely the decent seats are gone! Especially in PE or UC
