Nice sedate morning in the clubhouse.

Just for the fun of it / a challenge, this morning I timed myself from drop off at the UC wing to extra spicy Bloody Mary in hand at the club house. 11 mins, 29.68 seconds!

Your turn... :-)

Not by me.
My aim when travelling is to relax and take it easy.
Travel the 40 miles to the airport the day before.
Take a leisurely stroll over to the terminal.
I won't rush in security having once dropped a watch at Orlando by not putting it on properly. (they found it and posted it to me.)
Amble up to the clubhouse and ponder over the breakfast menu.
May have an alcoholic drink after an hour or so.
Maybe a second one.
Maybe a couple on the plane during the boarding.

The clubhouse is certainly the quintessence of r&r, as is belong dropped off at the UC wing.
The real difference is my boozing before breakfast (never any guilt at the airport!) and having a watch I can do up properly

I think my personal best at LHR has been from limo to lounge in 6 minutes.. Take no prisoners and resist the allure of the whiskey section in duty free would be my advice :P

I'm with Dickie ... night at the Hilton, stroll through LHR and Security, peruse Duty Free, set up my nest in the CH, cruise the buffet ... order champagne ... relaxed and happy. Used to zip around but when a glitch appeared it was too stressful. Now I handle the occasional glitch with good grace.
