The recent "when does your holiday start" thread got me thinking about my favourite part of travelling with Virgin. As a 10 year plus veteran and having flown in all classes and all types I have many highlights and also the pain of a 12 hour return from LAX in the middle seat of the middle row of a A340!

Of course many highlights have been on the ground and whilst the lounges at Heathrow and Gatwick are super special, I have always had a soft spot for the ANZ lounge at LAX.

However I have decided my favourite thing about travelling with Virgin is the safety video. For me once I have gone through the process of packing, checking paperwork, re-checking paperwork, getting to the airport, through security and then finally on to the plane and all the other rushing around, I feel quiet stressed (and in need of a holiday!), however once I am settled in my seat wherever that may be on the plane and the safety demo starts playing I immediately become relaxed and ready for the flight ahead. For some reason the music puts me into such a relaxed state and especially on a late afternoon flight from LAX/SFO/LAS with my skin still tingling from the sun will make me ready for sleep mode after I have admired the scenery after take off and have been fed.

The very small things can make a flight memorable and comfortable!

They've changed it recently too, though the details of the changes aren't clear, had IFE issues both ways last time, so got a soundless one and a snapshop one (with audio on).
